A Blue Diamond in the Rough

I took a short road trip to the coast and stopped by Cart'M. I spotted this blue (vintage! enamel!) gem from 50 paces....

An hour later, it was in the garden at the hut, filled with Nasturtiums. May be the best $5 I ever spent.

I also shopped a fab estate sale in Wheeler and met my next husband in Rockaway Beach.
Which story do you want to hear first, girls?

Friday was a good day!

Dear Readers,
I am sweetening the pot for my 50th birthday giveaway on March 1st. Join as a follower (a.k.a. One Gal's Trashy Pals) and be included in the drawing for vintage skeleton keys, OR you get to CHOOSE ANY 2 THINGS YOU SEE IN THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS if I pick your name out of the hat. So, even if you don't adore skeleton keys, you are bound to love something below. Pass this on to everyone on your Christmas card list! Thanks and xoxo.

Here is Friday's bounty after one estate sale and 2 thrifts....

Vintage blue rose scarf, BH&G cookbook & decorating book, wedding cake topper, handmade doily thingies, salmon toned girls' gloves, pretty aqua silk yarn...

Vaguely creepy mid century candle holders, buttons, vintage game cards for crafting, an old green handled iron and vintage Christmas bling...

Old green garden tool, napkins, family of fishy fish made from bump chenille, vintage flower stamens, and the world's most fabulous pink nightie just in time for Valentine's Day *wink* (Sorry, I've decided to keep the nightie. I'm saving it for my next assignation.)

Blue enamel splatterware, dotty red tablecloth and napkins and a sweet white vase. And these treasures weren't even the finds of the day! Stay tuned...details on my next post.
