And just in time for Valentine's Day!
This photo is from a posting about an estate sale that's happening tomorrow morning. I'll be heading there at the crack of dawn just to see it in person. Hope I don't have to push these guys out of the way.

I broke my own rule, but it was worth it
Years ago, I promised myself I would NEVER wait to get into estate sales. The people in line are dealers and/or crazies. It's competitive and stressful and takes all the fun out of junking for me. And besides, no one else wants the stuff I like, so it's usually safe to go in an hour or two after opening. Last Friday, however, I made an exception. This sale was the only one in my general vicinity and when I arrived, the line was pretty short and my cup of cafe au lait was full, so I jumped in.
There was the house, the garage,
and the RV barn in back.
I got a couple of big things that I took directly to the shop...
The moss covered concrete frog, (If you kiss him, he turns into a prince. Believe me, I tried it.)
and a large, vintage aluminium vent, which sold in less than 24 hours. The small stuff is still waiting to get unwrapped. Next post, I promise.

CSI Portland: Update
Remember these boys? And how I said that they are sometimes banned from estate sales?
Thanks to my eagle eyed friend who saw the sign and provided the photo. I wonder if I should hire a bodyguard before I hit the estate sale highway today....

CSI Portland
Okay boys and girls....
Spring is definitely here and so is estate sale season. I want to warn you right now about 2 regulars who seem to hit every sale, every Friday, on the east side of Portland. If you see these two; STAY CLEAR! I have seen one of them shove a little old lady out of his way, and witnessed the other in a screaming obscenity-laced fight with a dealer in a dead person's house. Believe me, you don't want to mess with these boys! Occasionally, there is a large sign on the front door at estate sales that reads:
"@*&^% and *#^$% are not welcome here!!!"
