Texas Junking - Chapter IV - City Farmhouse

These are my friends: David and Kim from City Farmhouse, Sue from Vintage Rescue Squad, Robelyn from red.neck.chic, Kristi from Junkology 101 and Debbie from Talking Trash.

David and Kim's shop, City Farmhouse, is located in Franklin, Tennessee. A certain famous singer (all she wants to do is have some fun) is one of their regular customers. I hope to see the shop in person one of these old days. Kim has an amazing eye and says "French" in a way that is impossible to replicate. Here's a look at what David and Kim had in their booth at Round Top....

I can't wait to see what they bring to Round Top next year!

Texas Junking - Chapter III - Frenchy Stuff and Body Parts

If I only had a truck.

I really wanted to buy this print. I love the fact that Napoleon and Josephine look so utterly bored with each other. Who knew?

My best guess is that this was a display piece from a store, including the gender specific heads. Deluxe Chubby Boy and Deluxe Chubby Girl. The question is: Display for what? Undergarments? Toys? Cupcakes? The hand was a mystery to me.

Legs. $5 each.

The Junking is Bigger in Texas

Okay, Trashy Pals...For the next few posts, you'll be along for the ride as I relive the best junking week of my life. The stuff, the displays, the deals, the peeps, the layers of sweat and dust and sunscreen. You'll see it all...right here!

Yeeeee Haw!

Can you say Spell Check?

Hats and a butt. The hats are French. The butt? I'm not sure.

Me, surrounded by my friends. They have trouble spelling, too.

I wanted to take a nap!
Y'all come back now, ya hear?

One Gal's Trash in the Lone Star State!

(photo courtesy of Debra Callahan York)

That's right cowgirls, I'm packin' my Stetson and my sunscreen and headin' to the land of Bluebonnets and deep fried turkey legs! I'll be in Texas before midnight tonight, for 5 days of junkin' at Marburger in Round Top, Zapp Hall & Antique Weekend in Warrenton, some of the best (and rumor has it...wildest!) antiques shows in the whole U.S. of A.

An even bigger thrill for me is finally getting to meet Sue of Vintage Rescue Squad and Deb of Talking Trash. These gals top my list of Best-Friends-I-Have-Not-Yet-Met. You can bet there's going to be some serious cacklin' and gossipin' going on until the wee hours of the morning! Yippie-yi-yo-ki-yay!
