As if it fell from Heaven above

I was pulling into a parking space at the grocery store when I saw a vision in turquoise from across the lot. There it was...alone and abandoned at the Salvation Army donation truck. The lines! The shape! The color! I couldn't possibly bring it home but decided the least I could do was take a photo of it. I drove away slowly, quietly weeping. Farewell, turquoise thing, farewell!

Starstruck

Remember my tale about the best thing I have ever found?

The star is now hung ~ in all its ginormous glory ~ on the wall in my space at Found on Fremont. And in case it didn't make enough of a statement, I draped tiny white lights on it. Customers have asked if it's for sale...I don't think I want to let it go, but if I did, what price should I slap on it?
Please advise!

The Best Thing I Have Ever Found. Ever.

So, I'm driving down NE 42nd the other day, and this catches my attention...

Dumpsters and metal on the back of a truck. Wait! Are those..Huge...Green..Letters?

Yes, Virginia, they are Huge, Green Letters. And is that what I think it is?

I head to the loading dock, heart pounding. A couple of guys are throwing large metal objects into a dumpster. "Excuse me, are those letters on that truck for sale?" One of the guys saunters on over.
Him: "Maybe. Whaddya wanna pay?"
Me: "I'm not sure, I think I need a closer look..(pointing) Is that a star right there? Can you get it out for me?"
So he huffs and he puffs and he pulls it out of the pile.

Me: "I'll give you 10 bucks for it."
Him: "It's aluminium. It's worth more than that as scrap."
Me: "O.K. What's it worth as scrap?"
He drags the star over to the scale, throws it on, turns to me and says, "14 bucks."
Me: "I'll give you 15."

He even put it in the back of the Dodge for me.

I thought about sleeping with it, but decided it was too pointy.

I did wear it however.

P.S. The letters were stunning, but ginormous...like 12 feet tall. They were too over the top, even for me.
