Something About a Girl with a Cake

I couldn't leave this little miss on the shelf at the Sally Army. Something about her appealed to me...and it wasn't just the fact that she cost only a dollar. She's a girl, holding a cake. Sort of like this one that I posted about here.

Now, I have something else to add to my list of must finds. Girls with cakes. Just one more, and I'll officially have a collection!

Hazel's First Birthday

We celebrated Hazel's birthday with a party at the dog park.

Emma handed out doggie treat bags to all the pups who showed up.

Charlie brought toys.

Roscoe was there...

and Chloe...

and Baron...

Stretch and the birthday girl had a little tumble.

Hazel stole a ball, because on your birthday, you get to do that sort of thing.

She had a wonderful time!

A Perfect Birthday...

I'm turning 49 today. There. I said it. I've heard from friends and family and have had a swell day, puttering and creating while listening to Lily Allen. Really loud. My family has spent the afternoon getting dinner organized and wrapping packages (!) while I have been working in my studio...

Making Easter friends like this:

Dinner will consist of red wine, red meat and chocolate cake. What could be better? The Versailles cake is made by Petite Provence bakery. It is the best thing in the whole wild world. Maybe I'll save the chocolate Eiffel Tower. Maybe not.
