French Junk - Part II

More treasures from the French flea....

Scrolly brackets that were very lovely and very spendy.

I was attracted to, and slightly repelled by, this egg poster.

I have no idea what these things were but I loved them.  A lot.

Gnomes and Perfume bottles.  Smelly and charming....But which is which?

Bottles of unpronounceable potions.

Coffee, tea or a martini?  Please advise!

Not sure if I have already posted this.
Its always great vintage shopping in France. So much junk there.
Your Red 'things' are actually road workers lamps, used when they were mending the road or paths. They were put around a hole in the ground or a hazard to warn people. They were filled with a small amount of paraffin and then a wick was lit. They were actually quite bright and gave a good light for many hours. Nowadays they are not used so much here in the UK. - its all plastic cones now. My son has just told me that he used to 'play' with them in the 1990's - he never told me that when he was a kid !!!!
Best wishes with your treasure hunting in France. Love your blog.

Wonderful pics, I have an idea of what those things in question might be. (Third picture down, in post).
Old railroad lanterns.
Hope this helps.
