Its alway...Not sure if I have already posted this. <br />Its always great vintage shopping in France. So much junk there. <br />Your Red 'things' are actually road workers lamps, used when they were mending the road or paths. They were put around a hole in the ground or a hazard to warn people. They were filled with a small amount of paraffin and then a wick was lit. They were actually quite bright and gave a good light for many hours. Nowadays they are not used so much here in the UK. - its all plastic cones now. My son has just told me that he used to 'play' with them in the 1990's - he never told me that when he was a kid !!!!<br />Best wishes with your treasure hunting in France.
