Texas Trash and Treasure - The Junk I Brought Home

This is more or less what my carry on bag looked like on my trip back from Texas. You can confirm this by noting that my junk is still actually inside my carry on bag. I can't decide what to do with it all. Box it up (I'm moving soon) and write 'Texas Loot' on the outside of the box? Arrange it all in various places around the house and box it up later? So, there it all sits, in the bag, under the dining room table. In case you were wondering, there isn't much dining going on around the dining room table. Anyway, the main theme (although I didn't realize it at the time) of the Lone Star Stuff was metal...galvanized chicken feeder, English pastry tin, "%" print block,  rusty old bed springs and part of an old car plaque for a GALAXY. Happily for me, the plaque was broken, I got the GAL.  I also found bits of fantastic plastic, slightly sinister photo slides (they deserve their own post), and a hand towel made with love by my new friend, Robelyn, at red.neck Chic.  The sweet painted rose card is a souvenir from a delightful picnic hosted by the Petticoats on the Prairie girls. I was thrilled to find the vintage velvet strawberries, especially when the gal selling them told me they were 50 cents each. What's your favorite thing?

It is hard to pick a favorite but I spy a tiny orange buckle that looks like treasure to me!

Hey, girl--a very similar dilemma brewing over here--Round Top loot headed for a new home as I'm also moving soon. I LOVE the "Gal," and the velvet strawberries are awesome. I'm so very happy you made it to TX and I'm hoping it won't be your last trip...come see me! xxoos
