Stuff Found by the Side of the Road, episode 75.

This was the beautiful still life I almost drove past yesterday. Even through the paint-splattered plastic cover, I could make out an orange mushroom shaped object on the curb. That was enough to make me slam on the brakes and jump out of the Dodge.

This was in the pile, too. The guts are missing, but what a great prop for a nautical or industrial display.

Here's the crushed velvet toadstool stool (!). I thought someone put the plastic cover on to keep the rain out. Silly me. It was to keep the stench of cigarettes and Miller Lite
in. The magic mushroom is now airing out in our garage. A good vacuuming and a little Febreze should do the trick!

P.S. I left the rest of the stuff there, including the TVs, the broken headboard and the TJ Maxx basket. Here's my favorite part: As I was starting to pull away from the curb, some other vulture...um, I mean collector, pulled up right behind me and honked his horn. I guess I wasn't getting out of the way fast enough. It's a dog eat dog world out there, girls.

Hence the name...One Gal's Trash.
Nobody around here puts things out for the trash people. I may have to come across the river to hunt.

A toadstool stool!? Why in the world would someone throw this away? I never knew I wanted one until now. But I'll be sure to keep my eyes peeled when driving around on trash day, lol.

Great find! I was thinking to myself "why don't I find anything like that?" Then I remember the great white porch swing and the desk I found last month. I guess I want to find something everyday!!!
