Under the Sea in SE Portland

I was wowed. I was stunned. I felt a little seasick, but was on dry land.

This amazing installation by Sayuri Sasaki Hemann is currently in the front window at Tilde in Sellwood.

Crafted from tulle, thread, ribbon, wool, wire and fabric, the artist created this elaborate and ethereal exhibit. If you are in or around Portland, stop by a.s.a.p. to see it.

The seascape is coming down on Saturday, October 1st. All of the elements are for sale and will be available to take home on the 1st. OGT bought a jellyfish and a sea urchin!

What an interesting display! Glad you captured some good shots for us to enjoy.
I enjoyed reading about Bill in your previous post too. A friend of mine insisted I go with her to see him in Dallas last summer. What a night that was...glad I did not read this before hand because I would of laughed to much during his talk
Have a great week
Love
Maggie

I can't imagine the time it took to put that seascape together, it looks beautiful and really must be stunning to seen in person.
Thanks for adding me to your blog-o-rama!

I always look at the windows in Tilde when I drive down 13th. Have admired this one for a bit - it is pretty eye catching!

those are just dreamy. If I had a baby and a nursery I'd so decorate the entire room with those.
