When we were kids, we always knew when my mom was having her Bridge group over....the tell-tale signs were everywhere. The high shelf booze and ashtrays were brought down, and there was candy. She bought the quality stuff for her friends and always tried to hide it. Sadly for her, there were four of us and it was pretty easy to divide, conquer and devour. Anyway, I'm getting off the subject here. I found these vintage Bridge Tally sets at recent and extraordinarily filthy sale. But I don't care. I love them, especially the windmill themed ones.
As a bonus, they still smell like gin and cigarettes.

:) Cute post! Funny how things like that talk you on a walk down memory lane. Cheers
Yes! the card tables and chairs came out; the bridge mix was put into nice glass candy dishes...and a deck or two of cards were chosen...still have the cards, card tables and chairs! maybe even the little pencils...will have to check one day!
This reminds me of my mother's bridge club. The "girls" are in their 80s but still get together once a month. It rotates between houses and there was always a special dessert made.
