Playing with Scarves

I love vintage scarves. I don't wear them, I just like to look at them. Especially when they're all stuffed into a fabulous old round suitcase.

Then you stir and mix...and see all new colors, florals, patterns.
Wait! Do I see mushrooms?

Yes! Mushrooms and...cherubs! The colors are stunning, but I simply cannot fathom the relationship between fungus and arrow-wielding angels. Girls, help me out here.

P.S. I think I might have to actually wear this one for my next evening out on the town.

A girl after my own heart! I collect hankies, and just love the patterns and colors. Great idea putting your scarves in a hatbox.

Oh the strange randomness of retro designs. That one's definitely a conversation piece. Maybe you should wear it at your next show....:)

On the other hand, if I gravitate to the Colleen (Fresh Vintage) side of my brain, I can imagine the graphics fraught with innuendo.

Let me explain...If you wear this wonderful scarf, the cherubs will shoot their arrows and hopefully they will land on your true love who will turn out to be a real FUN GUY...like a MUSHROOM...FUNGI!

Perhaps the designer was eating magic mushrooms when he or she designed this! (à la Lewis Carrol)

Lovely! I've collected vintage scarves for awhile now and hardly ever wore them but now I'm tying them on. :) They are "in" as they say but I'd be wearing them even if they weren't The colors are great, you must wear the mushroom cherub one :)
