Life is Like a Box of Random Stuff...

...You never know what you're gonna get!

I was skulking around an estate sale today when I spied this metal chest with little drawers full of colors and textures.

Things got even better when I saw this on the top....the two most beautiful words in the English language:

So I did...I offered $5 to the gal in charge. She said "Sure!" Her family was clearing out Grandma's house and she was practically giving stuff away. I made myself wait until I got home to see what was inside my little treasure chest. Some of it was fab! Like...

Old spun cotton mushrooms, angel matches and a deer's head,

Tiny vintage pastel bells, a miniature Frenchy shoe,

hat pins and vintage Dennison labels. There was also some stuff I wasn't so thrilled about. Like:

An old pacifier and nail clippers,

and packages of golfing tees from Reno. Wait...is that a metal thimble? Oooooo...I'll throw that in my sewing box!

What a wonderful find. I'm so glad that lady's crafty items went to you who appreciate them!

There is something that people made with golf tees a while back but I can't remember what.

Man, I knew I should have gone out today. The one who braves the freezing cold weather gets the prize. Nice score!!
