10 Pounds of Vintage Buttons

My friend Craig recently gave me a heads up about a house in SE Portland that is getting cleaned out before being sold. He heard about it on the "rock" circuit...Craig is quite the rock hound. The owners of the house had accumulated 2 TONS of rock. Anywho, while Craig was searching for Malachite and Turquoise, he noticed the house and garage were full of, what he called, "Pam stuff". Uh, Yeah. Like The Beast and these treasures. The house is like the gift that keeps on giving. Everytime I go to pick up what I bought last time, I find more stuff. On my latest trip, I discovered 3 LARGE jars of buttons.

Did I mention buckles too?

I'm going back on Friday. I'll keep you posted.

My Mama saved buttons. Everytime I see a cache of buttons it makes me think of a mother's love.

What an amazing treasure! By the way, if it is more than you can put to good use we collect accessories & give women (those rescued from trafficking, homelessness, refugees etc) the opportunity to learn how to create repurposed accessories.
There is more about us here http://www.sweetnotions.org/
&here:

We find everyone has a few extra accessories (or buttons) lying around that we can put to good use!
