Act Three ~ The Small Stuff
A stack of vintage painting instruction books, (my friend Astrid gets first dibs on these) a beautiful Woman's Home Companion gardening book with special bonus...a bright yellow daffodil on the cover...my birthday flower and the first harbinger of spring. A vintage book about tools for my friend Craig. Fab old child's pull toy, headed for eBay. Tiny Tom Thumb ducky playing cards and a candy cane Santa....
Three turquoise metal canisters with white daisies and black tops, 2 vintage footed daisy glasses, 3 wooden seagulls for the hut (Gail spotted these for me), copper candle holder, 70's vegetable plaques, and a small but glorious pile of vintage wrapping paper and greeting cards!
My favorite paper of the day...
I also bought Lorena Bobbitt's coffee cup, but that's a story for another day.

What a haul! Can't wait to look over the WF books.. I can tell you right now that the one in front happens to be missing from my collection so, thank you!! I can't recall what the twirly toy is called but I'll help you w/the research. Fun stuff.. xoxo A
PS Storybook wrapping paper, are you kidding me? CUTE!!
Great, great haul! Geez, those cards and wrapping paper are amazing! But please girl, you can't go and say that you bought a Bobbitt cup without explaining yourself!!!
Oh such good finds. Love the footed glasses! Books and so much more.
oh, that paper!!!!
oxox
Maybe Lorena didn't actually have John's you-know-what in her hand but instead she stuffed it in her coffee cup and then headed down the road at 3 a.m. Is THAT why you bought it?????
You got the goods, girl! My favorite is the paper!!!! Love it, thanks for sharing all of these goodies:)
Love the toy in the first photo! Is it made of wood? You did good!
Anna
Fun, fun, fun! How sweet is that little toy? The daisy glasses look familiar to me. Like maybe I considered them while picking out my dishes in 1973. I don't know, but that's what the feel like to me.
Man, I sure need a barn sale. LOL
Great stuff. I gotta get out and start gathering for Zapp!
I can't wait to hear the mug story...it's got to be a doozie!

OH MY GOODNESS girlfriend! I was swooning over all the goodies on your posts (getting caught up, ya know!) ... saw some yummy things ... (I just bought almost the EXACT same child's ironing board a short time ago!!) ... and then I saw ...
THE BARN IS CLOSING!! I used to love to shop in Scappoose at their monthly sales. See, I missed several in 2009 and what-do-ya know. Actually the gals said last winter's storm was extremely hard on the business and think it might have been too much to overcome.
Reminds me of the need to support local businesses during this tough year (like the 3/50 project).
I'll have to plan some PDX shopping this weekend ... or maybe the Clark Co. Fairgrounds ... ?
Hugs and have a great weekend!
Betty :)
