The shape of things to come

Here is how our Rockaway Beach lot looks now that we have burned down the hut. We went for a visit right after the excavation; since then, the foundation has been poured.

The new hut is due to arrive on Monday!

In the meantime, Mr. and Mrs. Bucky and a concrete birdbath are waiting under the laurel hedge until I can plant the new gardens.

I have also stashed a trellis, an old wheelbarrow, more concrete and a window from the original hut. These will all have a new home in Chez Pre-Fab's garden.

Just before we left, the kids did a little jerkin on the spot where our living room will be.

How exciting. Are you going out for the delivery? Can't wait for more pictures. It is fun watching what is happening.

So the side where the mounds of dirt are...that's the new front yard...right? The area with gravel and the corner of a vehicle is the driveway...right? Which direction does the house face? North?
Just wonderin'

And of course you will let us know when you're having the Open House, right?

Progress looks great! When "the hut" is in place, maybe you would like some "help"? Just let me know ... I LOVE the beach! Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and I wanted to say how much fun I have visiting yours.
Hugs and have a super day!
