The Scene of the Crime
Recently, Gail and I went to a sale in this house. There was so much stuff, it was overwhelming. Junk in the yard, on the porch, on the walls, and on tables crowded together in the dark, claustrophobic living room. There were boxes and boxes of stuff under the tables as well. I leaned over to open a box for a peek and the woman running the sale said..."Miss, nothing in those boxes is for sale yet." (Yet????) I said okay and made my way directly over to a spot where I thought I would be out of her line of sight. I was wrong. As I peeked in a box under the table again, she barked at me "I told you already that nothing under the tables is for sale!" By now I'm thinking that this woman is insane. She is actually trying to NOT SELL STUFF when she clearly has an interested buyer. I think Gail was worried the woman might call the cops. We paid for our goods, and as we walked out the door, Gail said, "We could go back in and I can distract her while you check out the stuff under the tables." Just then, a man on the porch (the cranky lady's husband?) says "I heard that!!!" It was time to get the hell outta there. We giggled all the way to the car.

Why is it that all the good stuff is in boxes we aren't allowed to root through? Or it's in that one room with the closed door saying "Family only". It is, I just know it is.
OR why is all the good stuff display only. I swear half the time I find the perfect piece and I see the NFS or display only. I hate that!!
And why would she even have it out in the area where people are if it's not for sale?
LOL that was funny!! Hmmm Wonder what was in it??? I enjoyed my visit today, I love seeing the treasures people find.
Blessings Lorie
I love this story. I can just see you in action.
Thinking of you...
