Our friend Kim, from Camp Whimsy, found this old wooden sign for Laurie/Ethel in an alley near her house. Something tells me there's more to the story, but for the sake of brevity, we'll continue our tour.
Laurie likes vintage paper party favors. A lot.
Babies of all shapes and sizes!
Laurie is organized....
Very organized.
This collection of vintage wire bells hangs from the light in her studio. I have asked her for it several times. Sadly, she always says no.
Laurie keeps supplies in vintage suitcases...like foil reflectors, for instance.
A blissful array of color, texture and bling.
Next post: What she makes!

Not fair you got to go inside!!! That is it I am hitching a ride with Santa to come and see the wonderful workshop.
What a fun friendship you two have!
Jealous very jealous, but what a sweet post :)
Magpie Ethel is one of a kind. As are you, my trashy friend. That sign was destined for the Magpie.
I can never get enough of her (and her spunheads). She is a unique force of nature!
Smiling from ear to ear. Thanks Dot. Can hardly wait to see what I make!
I would love to see her place in person. I have a feeling the pictures con't quite catch the magic!

Great post about a great gal. Any time I feel my art room is getting over-run all I need to do is refer back to this post. Laurie is the Queen!!
Hundreds of spun heads? Looks like millions to me.
Welcome Ethel, indeed!
I'm a huge "Magpie Ethel" fan, and think Laurie has so much talent. Her world is so whimsical, cheerful, and full of vintage fun. I love it!
Such beautiful eye candy. I love how you captured one of my favorite artists and her delightful studio.
Is she not the most delightful person. And her collections are enviable at best. She is sweet to the core and artistic to boot. Lucky us for knowing her...smiles...Renee
I always wondered where she stored all her fabulous finds! Thanks for the tour.
