Dolls Gone Bad
I found these vintage Party Dolls and Dress Me Dolls at a thrift emporium. The kitsch factor was very high, but so was the creepy thing. Very creepy.
These babies look like satin-robed aliens.
And these girls are a little bit glam...and a little bit terrifying. What should I do with them? Please advise!

I don't know what to tell you - but I am reminded that I succumbed to buying some of those exact same dolls, and at various moments I would open a forgotten box and there they were, staring at me. I resolved to get rid of them no matter what, but now I can't remember if I did. They may still be lurking in the attic. Whatever you decide, do it quickly.
Maybe some kind of Halloween thing? Make little black capes and tiny, cardboard, "bloody" knives? Or maybe one of the big dolls can hold another doll's chopped off head? I dunno, but I can proudly(?) say I've resisted their beckoning through the years. Of course we know pride goeth before the fall. Just as soon as you or someone does something cute with them I'll be searching them out. LOL
I too have a box full of these naked ladies sitting in my garage waiting for inspiration to spark. I don't think it ever will - they freak me out. Yesterday I was sorting boxes and came across them again. Eek!
Give them to the magpie and let her work her magic!
I'd put some pants on them immediately -- it's chilly. And I'm chilly just looking at them. And they're chilling (and I don't mean they're relaxing). :-)
I think they need some Halloween magic...
p.s. I agree with Amy about getting some clothes on them..lying in a plastic bag buck naked can not be good for their self image.
Ooooo Mixed Media fun! Take them & use them for some funtastic art work.
I would NOT make eye contact with them....I probably would not have brought them home....

I keep seeing a design show in my head (trading spaces maybe?)...in which they used dolls (naked and painted, barbie type dolls) as part of the design...or am I just remembering some crazy dream?
I agree with Flying Beader. Mixed Media goodness!! Collage them, paint them,maybe some cool fibers in their hair?
