Who Knew?

This pretty little needlework sampler has been hanging on our kitchen wall for years. Lately, I find myself eyeing our beloved possessions to see what I can weed out and sell. So, during dinner last night, I said to the family, "Would anyone mind if I sell that Home Sweet Home cross stitch?"
The husband: "I never liked it."
The daughter: "It's pretty ugly."
The son: "I hate that thing!"
Just goes to show you...If you don't ask, you'll never know!
I'll slap a price tag on it, and sell it in time for Thanksgiving.

Oh that's funny! Yep sell that thing! One man's trash is another man's treasure...words we all live by!

I told my son, I was having a living estate sale. I do not need anything, but a bed and bath.

Love the family's reaction -- at least it wasn't something you loved!

I think I would paint the frame it's in first and I'm sure it would look a lot prettier! Then if you still don't like it, sell it!

If it was up to my family, they'd say get rid of everything, so I don't ask. Surely someone will love that little needlework piece. Best wishes, Tammy

Um, I totally bought this today at a Vintage Gathering. I plan to paint the frame, hang it and wait to hear the hubs say "that's ugly." I actually have the perfect little wall space for it.
