More Festive Cakes

Last spring, I found a Better Homes & Gardens Book of Cake Decorating. I showed you some of the cakes here. I just found another copy and discovered more amazingly kitschy cakes that I somehow missed the last time. First of all, I am in love with the page that shows all the "decorating tubes"...

and "what they do"...

Sweet baby cake

Cupcakes, anyone?

Lambies and kitties and deers, Oh My!

Spring themes...watering can (!) and Hyacinth

I might even break my rule about never eating coconut for this number

Wait. A Fire King green cake with fruity marzipan? Sign me up!

Bet you've never tasted a barn cake.

Cinderella's pumpkin coach...and castle! Brilliant.

Which one do you want for your next birthday....Please advise!

Definitely the coconut swirl number...I have no issues whatsoever with coconut cake!

I'll take the hyacinth, please. I think hyacinths in Nov. would be a lovely idea. What a fun book!!

I can't decide between the kitten and the deer. September's the month!
Super book, I'd certainly have got it too.
Have a great weekend.

Love that sweet little princess bed and the cupcake with the wreath. These new "old" ideas are great. With all the cupcake craze going on lately I'm amazed we are not seeing these design. Probably will be now!

I have the deer pan-mold, whatever it is called in my closet. It was my birthday cake on my first birthday.

I would go for the Cinderella cake. Always wanted one of those barbie doll cakes with the doll stuck in it. Maybe this year for my fifth :)
