You Can't Always Get What You Want

...because it's been glued to a wall for 60 years.
I went to a sale today and picked up a few things...linens, floral prints...nice but, you know, not special. All that changed when I got to the third floor. As I walked down the hallway and into this room, I gasped out loud and dropped my not special linens and floral prints.
The Wallpaper!

Want a closer look? Of course you do!

I'm seriously considering going back tomorrow (1/2 price day) to see if the humorless gal running the sale will let me try to strip some of it off. Wish me luck!

Wow! I love it. It would be just the thing on a wall in my downstairs boat themed cloakroom ;O)
Even a small panel of it framed would look great - good luck, I hope Miss Humorless is in a good mood when you get there.

My first time looking at your blog and I see that gorgeous wallpaper! Were you joking about trying to remove a piece? Even a scrap would be lovely...How old do you think it is?
Happy birthday to you for yesterday.

I hope you got to do some scrapin' at that sale! If you're going to sit there for hours on end, running a sale, you'd want to be entertained in some way, and a crazy lady wanting to scrape your wallpaper sounds endlessly amusing to me!
