Good News, Bad News

Let's start with the bad news...

I couldn't get any of THE WALLPAPER! I even asked permission and everything. But I could only manage to scrape off pieces about the size of a dime.
But never mind. We junkers are an intrepid lot. I just kept shopping and scored in the ephemera department....

This hand-tinted photo print. At first I thought it was China, but it's a street in Italy illuminated by gorgeous red lanterns.

A fun stack of greeting cards. The valentine with the spotted dog reads on the back "For Frisky from Patty" It was a puppy love card!

A series of illustrations of rooms with names like The Prunella and Queen of Roses and a sweet little street map of Paris,

Two fun bridge tallies,

and one of the best vintage cards I've seen..."Thinking of a Grand Person"!

Love all your goodies, especially that gorgeous vintage card. It almost looks like a fancy napkin.
Cool wallpaper, at least you have a picture....wonder what you could do with it? Thanks for sharing your finds.

Too bad about the wallpaper. It was awfully cute. :-( But the cards, especially the card for Frisky and the Grand Person card were worth the trip!

Sorry about the wallpaper but glad you scored some great finds anyway! I need to give some thought to stripping wallpaper. My house was built in 1947 and I have redone every room in my 30-year tenure here, all except my bedroom closet. It has the most adorable wallpaper - little children in all sorts of play activities. It never occured to me to try and strip it. Sheesh! I kind of hope I get over this thought before I actually empty the closet. It sounds like A LOT of work - LOL!
