A Fabulous Bag of Something

My last post was about finding an empty (but fab!) bag while junking in Bend, Oregon. Here's the tale of an entirely different kind of bag.

This little hut/thrift store in Bend was having a "Fill a bag for $3" sale. So I did just that..I filled a bag for $3...and here's what I brought home:

A delicious variety of plastic grapes, a blue spotty enamel bowl, vintage millinery lemons & oranges, a picket fence for a fairy garden, 4 wooden doll forms and a troll who resembles Albert Einstein.

And these sweet, hand carved cartoonish animal...napkin holders (?) These fall into one of my favorite categories of junk: The "objects made by somebody's grandpa a long, long time ago" category. Not a bad haul for the price of a cappuccino. What treasure/s have you found recently for $3. Do tell!

Oh, the napkin rings are sweet. I'd say that's definitely what they are. And yeah, certainly a grandad make.

Great finds! Do you have any crafting plans for those doll forms?

You asked what I've found recently for $3.00. For less than that sum, I purchased two tins and a 1968 McCall's pattern for making vintage crafts. You can see these finds on my blog:

Looks like you found a great little shop. I will be in Bend in May....want to share the address of the shop? The napking rings are adorable!

I love your fun finds and am also partial to the grandpa-made-it stuff. *grin*
I just picked up a fonky (not the fun 70's funky - it was FONKY) green birdcage with even FONKIER nick nack birds in it for $3. I de-fonkied it & painted it white & now its cute as can be!
