Turns out it rotates(!) and vibrates(!) too. It was priced at $1,200 ~ including a matching dresser and this tasteful lilac painting.
So I passed on the pimpy purple passion pieces, but I grabbed some other great junk...
A Farmer Brown's Penny Candy jar, groovy wood bookends, napkins, vintage corn cob holders, a sweet vintage necktie, dainty Grafton floral sugar and creamer and (just because a girl can never have too many) a dozen tart tins and a bag o' safety pins,
this small metal toolbox and a piece of linen embroidered in 1871.At another stop I found the treasure of the day. I've been looking for a head for ages. I found her tossed in the linens at Value Village. I would kill for her eyebrows. Sadly, her hair has seen better days and I'm ordering a month's worth of Acutane to see if we can clear up her skin...
But look at her in her spring finery!

ahh...love the head! My daughter is in beauty school and sent me her head. I have had it all over the house and recently put it under the covers on my hubby's side of the bed!

I love the lady head. I have a male head somewhere in storage. But he doesn't have enough of that vintage flare for me... She, on the other hand, is totally working that hat!

I knew I should hve gone to that sale!! I'm just too lazy to get up early and drive for an hour. The head looks like a "Dutchess" to me.

I bought a couple of those heads in a boxlot once - scared the beejeezus out of me when I lifted up some junk to reveal decapitated heads!
I would name her Edith - after Edith Head, the famous costume designer. Head, get it...heh heh.
You should name your head HEADIE Lamar after the hollywood actress Hedy Lamar. I would have gone for the Porn bed, but updated to colors for it. What a fun bed!!!

I vote for Edith Head--or maybe Edith's Head. Of course if you name her that she'll have to wear round black frame glasses and that hair will have to be dyed black and cut into a bob and . . . or you could call her Bozo and keep her like she is. I agree, those eyebrows are divine.
I went out junking yesterday too. All I could find interesting was buttons. I bought two bags of vintage from women clothes & a big jar of military buttons. My husband is wanting me to use them in my pocket monster designs, but sometimes it is just fun to look at them.
I'm not surprised that you found tart pans in the sale with the bed...was there a mirror on the ceiling by chance as well?
Hedda would be a fun name. I read somewhere strippers get their stage names by combining their first pet's name with the street name they grew up on. Try that formula and see whay you get!

Wow! That bed is pretty amazing. I wonder if anyone shelled out the big bucks for it. It def. needs a red velvet upgrade, that lilac crap wasn't doing the porno bed any justice! As for your head, I like the suggestion of Marie Antoinette! Get that girl a wig! Hah hah!
I immediately thought of Violetta, which is close to Violet, suggested by someone else. And in regards to strippers' names, I once read that the porn star name game is played by combining one's middle name with the name of the first street one lived on!
