Sticking out like a sore thumb isn't always a bad thing

I've been out of pocket girls, and have missed you! Last weekend I was a vendor at the Funky Junk Sisters' Junk Salvation show. It was such great fun! One of my neighbors was my old friend Lisa from A Thing for Roses, and my other neighbor was my new friend Lisa from Peace, Love & all the Good Stuff. The show was chock-a-block with vendors selling fabulous wares. During set-up, I felt a little awkward as most of the gals were featuring country and shabby; you know, whites, creams, feathers and lace. It was a very different story over at One Gal's Trash. I'll show you what I mean:

I don't really do pastels. I guess you could say the same for my personality.

And sailing above it all, was my mascot, the S.S. One Gal's Trash. I could have sold her several times that day, but she is, absolutely and forever more, not for sale.

P.S. I'll be selling at the next Junk Salvation show May 13 & 14 in Puyallup, Washington. Just find the booth that looks like a carnival and you'll be in the right place!

Hey, Pam:
Thanks for the shout-out! :) I think One Gal's Trash rocks!! THat's one of the fabulous things about doing vintage markets . . . it takes ALL of us junkers to make a really FUN market! So glad you'll be coming up for the Puyallup Junk Salvation Market. It'll be junkatabulous too! ;)

Until then, peace, love, and happy, happy junkin' my friend!

First, it was super great to meet you!! Second, yours was my favorite booth/space. I only bought one thing that wasn't from your space. I'm a color girl, too, and pastels are pretty but some of us just need that vibrance that only color brings. I would love to make it up to Puyallup! Hope to see you soon,
Annette

Hey Pam, it was so nice to meet you at Junk Salvation! I can assure you that all your kitsch and color was like a beacon to me. :) Although there was a plethora of beautiful items from other vendors, yours was the only one I purchased from. A girl can never have too many vintage Bingo cards, eh? Hope to visit your booth at Fremont very soon!
Ciao, Maria w/Magia Mia

I met you at the show and your booth was HOPPIN' gal! If I remember it was the FIRST booth we went to from the entrance, seriously! I took a picture of your ship and now it's on my updated blog post about the show. Hope I did it justice for you:

So NOT a neutral girl here either! I am drooling over the landscape paintings and the yellow & pink vases and the sifter/jewelry display case.

I'd have been all over your booth!
