The Grapes of Trash

Spotted this fabulous outdoor fruit arrangement the other day. I am always drawn to resin grapes. I usually buy them and then have no idea what to do with them. But look what some clever person did...He/She added a little garden bling to a colorless, flowerless Portland winter. Brilliant!

Nice use of the glass grapes. I once bought a dozen -- someone had disconnected them and put each of the orange balls into an egg carton! I have a lovely bowl of glass orange balls.

They also make an awesome hanging lamp! Look them up on eBay.. Decorative and super easy to make/repurpose. I once bought some molds at a sale with the intention of going into business selling resin grape lamps. Unfortunately the forms are glass and the resin costs a fortune so, no go. Thanks for the post, Pam.

I have a client that takes these and turns them into lighting (if they aren't already lit) and has them hanging from trees in the pool area. It is GORGEOUS!

That's a clever idea! I recently bought my first set of resin grapes at a yard sale. I can't believe it took me so long!
