Somebody left this by the side of the road. I, of course, put it in the back of the Dodge. It's an old metal display for cigarettes. Not sure if I love it or hate it. What would you do with it?
*I* would give it to a friend of mine who was just lamenting the lack of storage in her studio, and make her trade you something cool for it. But that's just me. :)
You should love it. Or love the idea that you're going to put it to a much BETTER use. Looks like a great display shelf to me. Or fun for magnets. Oh the possibilities seem endless.Enjoy!
Love it! With Mad Men so popular it's a great find. I can't tell from the photo if you should paint or not but it's a great shelf for a collection, say of cigarette related items...ashtrays, lighters...so many people have those collections.
omg I am dying. I want this so bad. Winston is my dog's name and I'm only THE biggest Winston Churchill fan under 30 on the face of the earth. I would use this for his doggie stuff. I can't believe you found this!!!! Here's Winston : http://twitpic.com/348vq2
If the small shelves could be removed, you could 'wall-paper' the back with one of those great, colorful '40s or '50s cigarette ads, and re-insert the shelves [minus the slanted portions that seem to have most of the damage]. Then use it for a mini-collection or spice jars as someone suggested. If you end up re-purposing it, please post new pics so we can check it out!
Whoever left it on the side of the road is crazzzy! I personally would paint it a lovely pastel mint colour, and use it to store ribbons/buttons etc on :)

Use it to display junk in.
Love it! I saw something similar on another blog that of course I can't find now. They used theirs in the kitchen as a spice rack.
I'd clean it up a bit...but leave the wonderful patina, then use it to store jars of beads on the wall of my studio...it's a great piece.
What a FIND! I'd clean it all up, paint it & use it to display my wee little dolls.

I would love it! It looks like it has a lot of possibilities for storage and it's just a cool overall piece.
Let us know what you decide!
