Such a charming name for what is, basically, a very small 7-11.
"Snog" = Make out. However, this is not a porn shop. I think they sold frozen yogurt. If you understand the connection, please advise.
In a chip shop...
Taken from a moving train...
Another silly name for a real village...
Which way should we go?

Love these!
Bangers & Mash?
you just get used to it. Near us we have Wigtoft, Brothertoft, Fishtoft (where we live), Cowbit (pronounced 'cubbit'), Anton's Gowt, and the list goes on.
Have you seen 'fat balls' yet in the shops? They are bird food, but the name gives me a giggle every time!
Every time I see a sign that says 'To Let', I think it says 'toilet'. lol
what fun are these.... love them all... but the potato one has to be my favorite... it's hilarious... thanks for bring a little bit of fun back from your trip!!!
happy friday!
{{hugs}} Michelle
I love signs from different areas, or different times.
City and town names near us all have (American)Indian or Scandinavian origins and are hard to pronounce, even when you grow up here.
Snog - could they possibly mean Hang Out? Gather?
To me "make out" could mean bargain, get a dea, results? (I am old!)
