Portland's Twilight Rummage Sale

I have heard about this sale for years, but have never gone before. Something about being on a Saturday night that just throws me. That's right, once a month, from 4-8 PM, there's a rummage held at the Eagle Lodge in SE Portland. From the outside, it may not look like much.

But it was fabulous!

It's the kind of sale where you can belly up to the bar and have a cocktail while you shop...

where you can paw through a bin of $1 bling...

and where the lady selling vintage ephemera likes to talk with her hands.

It's the kind of sale where there is a sombrero made from soda can pop tops...

and an eagle fashioned out of rhinestone jewelry.

There were vintage buttons everywhere...

and lots of other delicious junky junk.

I'll show you what I brought home on my next post.

I want all that bring. Every last bling bit. Oh so worth it to give up a Saturday night. What else do we have to do anyway. A cocktail and SHOPPING. Heaven!

Any rummage sale that sells good junk AND alcohol would be at the top of my list of go-to's. Hell, ANY event where you can spend money and drink sounds pretty good!

This event is always fun. Great people watching. I've had some luck here with vintage finds. Looks like it was good pickens' that night. Sometimes stuff is too high(I'm a thrifty boy)but deals are there if you get to 'em quickly. I'm glad you finally went to this kooky sale. Cocktails and diggin'...gotta love it.

Okay, I'm dying over that box of $1.00 blingy things. Yum! How about a girls night out with dinner and the rummage sale next month? Let me know, I'm so there.

XO,

Lisa

Oh dear: was the bar open at the same time as the rummage?

I know what'd happen if I went: I'd have a beer or two and be unable to restrain myself from buying any and everything I could! :D

I.e. it'd be a huge fun!
