Let's bake a cake!

I found this happy book in a musty, dusty basement at a recent sale. The cover is not fabulous, but any book about cakes deserves a second chance.

I am so glad I had the good sense check inside...Look! Pastel tinted coconut and huge pink flower cakes....

Birthday cakes for children...Love the carousel number. However, the "Raggedy Annabel" cake gives me the creeps.

Ho Ho Ho Holiday cakes....

This ice cream cake is suggested for a teenager's party. Can you imagine what the family room would look like after 10-12 teenagers had a go at this?

The bride and her attendants look so lovely all covered with buttercream. However, I think there is something inherently wrong about slicing up a blushing bride on her special day.

Love it! I recently picked up 2 cake decorating books..one by Rosemary Wadey, circa 1979, hardcover in really good shape. The other, softcover, by Mildred somebody(my friend borrowed the book yesteday) circa 1979 with black n white photos that looked like they were photocopied. Enjoying them both!
