We just got back from the Bend Film festival. Our documentary won the biggest prize of the night on Saturday...The Katie Merrit Audience Award. Katie Merrit is the founder of the Bend Film Festival and is seen here with Brian's parents, Paul and Ann.
Here is my friend Gail (Brian's wife) and their daughter Valerie just after the awards ceremony. They are happy.
Bill Berry and I produced the final edit of the film. We are happy.
The documentary is the story of Brian's long journey through illness; challenges, healing, setbacks and triumphs. I continue to be inspired by his spirit and by how many people he touched with his grace and humility. I am so lucky to be embraced by his family.
