A Cautionary Tale

Just in case you were wondering, there is such a thing as going too far.

How much do you love these sunflowers?

P.S. This is not my house.

I was going to call that post about the last Estate Sale a cautionary tale. That would have been funny, huh? This is indeed one...when good statuary goes bad?

If that's a moving sale...I love it! However, if that's someone's front yard decor...call in Desparate Landscapes...STAT!!! Have a great week *elaine*

there a lot of "too fars" down here in MS.

I notice they are all off the grass, guess the person who mows the yard does not want to mow around them. Or maybe they got tired of mowing around them and stacked them all next to the house. Anyway you look at it that is just too much!

I know this address. It looks like that way 24/7 and 365 days a year. The display in the photos is NOT a yard sale...it looks like that everyday. I have been to a coupla "sales" the lady has held on the sidewalk in front of the house. Not in the house or garage...just on the sidewalk. She sells things but the best stuff is 'not for sale' and just sits in her yard. I think she has fabulous finds in the house also...the windows are literally covered up by the clutter. When I was there, her crazy mother escaped a few times from the house and started scaring the shoppers with her strange babbling. Yes...this is Portland's own version of "Grey Gardens"(lookup Grey Gardens if you aren't familiar with the story). The neighbors must love this...

She is a regular at estate sales and has a spot at Monticello Antique mall. Her front yard is insane, yet I always glance at it every time I drive by.

Ok, now I don't feel so bad. I thought maybe I had too many doodads in my garden. Sometimes I feel like I can hear the theme from Sanford and Son playing when I go outside!

Update on this house:
I google-mapped this address and all the stuff in the yard actually shows up on satellite imagery.
WOW!
From outer space...

You DO know whose house this is, right?? And yes, the inside IS full of amazing estate and garage sale treasures. She has the most amazing luck finding stuff.. But I have to admit, her yard reflects her personality. 'Nuff said.
