"Mom, are you actually watching the World Series?"
Vintage Plastic is Fantastic
I never pass up bags full of random plastic goodies at estate sales. The bags usually put me back about a dime and can hold treasures like these...
Birthday cake zoo train
Pink birdies and green floral candle holders
A teeny pair of wingtips
Valentine cupcake picks
Baby supplies
My all time favorite: Umbrellas for garden fairies
P.S. If you are a gardener, check out my Garden Gal blog for tips on how to put your garden to sleep for the winter.

Is it a sea creature or a light?
I saw this amazing object recently in a room where my son was taking an art class...
The closer I got to it,
The more beautiful it became!
Brilliantly created from one gal's (or guy's) trash!
I invite you to join in our vintage trash and treasure adventure! Become a member of One Gal's Trashy Pals over there on the sidebar...

Chez Pre-Fab...a Fable
Once upon a time, we had a hut in Rockaway Beach.
One sunny day in July, we moved out our stuff...
and burned it to the ground.
Then we had an empty lot for awhile.
Some people came, and brought us a new house..
Next, our friend Eric made beautiful floors for us.
And now, our friend Chris is putting up cedar shingles all over the house!
See Chris work.
Go, Chris, go!
We like Chris.

Dahlias in late October
It's now October 20th and this is what's happening outside our dining room window...These gorgeous blooms are thriving in my "adopted" garden.

My friend Mary says that a better name for it is the "mercy" garden. I think she's right. Anything still blooming in your neck of the woods? Please advise!

A spooky peek at my space at Found on Fremont
Saturday night was a swell event..we had the grand opening party at our newly named store! My space ~ at the top of the stairs ~ is all dressed up and ready for ghosts and ghouls on All Hallows' Eve...

Have you ever seen a plastic pumpkin lamp shade? I didn't think so.
There were turkeys at the party too!
Vintage candles and a picture frame created by yours truly, One Gal's Trash.
For more photos of the party, link over to Found on Fremont's Facebook page....

Halloween has arrived in our living room!
We scared up some vintage goodies for All Hallow's Eve...

It's not a holiday without something made by Magpie Ethel...in this case, a crow on a charming witch hat.

And flying above it all....
Whhhhoooooooo loves vintage Halloween?
